At the 40th World Championship in France Ukraine was represented by a delegation of 7 shooters: Anton Navrotsky, Viktor Kryzhanovsky, Mykhaylo Demchyshen, Oleg and Mykola Makodzeba, as well as Volodymyr Vdovenko. President of the Ukrainian Sporting Federation Viktor Semenel and international judge Olena Semenel also attended the championship.

The winner of the 40th World Sporting Championship in France was Auvret Christophe (FRA) with a result of 191 hit targets out of a possible 200.
